I watched a lot of films. And what I mean in 'a lot' is really a lot. Film genres from action to comedy, from horror to romance and sci-fi, I never missed any of these. Not even the crossovers. That's why I started to know which is a bad film and which is a watch-able film and which is a marvelous film after all these years ( to be exact, it's 6 years. Not too short and not too long).

Now, I seldom find movies so touching that it makes me wanna cry. ok fine, it's my problem, but can you please hang on.. This time, I found them...and they are films adapted from very, very, very successful books. Oh, and it's not Twilight, sorry. It's something much, much better than this.

Yes, please scroll down.

The Time Traveler's Wife

Okay, I admit: I didn't read the book. I only heard about the movie plus the book this year. It was already very popular (since the book was published in 2003) i.e. even before the film was out. Well, it does make sense, or else why is the story brought on screen?

Maybe some monster is slightly out-dated. But that's not the point. The point is, this is a science and romance fiction, which may look boring to you at the beginning but when you continue on, you won't be able to get your butt off the sofa. Point taken?

The movie is about Eric BanaHenry DeTamble with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably and randomly and his wife, the beautiful Rachel McAdams Clare who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences when he time travels.

The sci-fi part is: when saying time traveling, this film's time-traveling is very different. The time traveler vanishes at inordinately frequent and lengthy intervals, and he has no control over the destination and time of his traveling. And oh, it doesn't involve any machine. Cool isn't it?

And the romantic part is: The time traveler time travels to visit young Clare, and end up completely naked when he arrives at his destination(pro con of time traveling. You see, time travel can only travel the body) But he don't know when he is visiting her. So, he read the present-day Clare's diary to get a list of dates he visited her, so that she can be waiting for him with clothes. Aww, isn't this sweet~ They are destined to be together. And young Clare is jealous of her older-self when she knows that Henry is married. Can you believe that?!

Clare has been in love with Henry her entire life. She believes they are destined to be together, even though she never knows when they will be separated: Henry is a time traveler--cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting time line, skipping back and forth through his lifespan with no control. Despite the fact that Henry's travels force them apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.

My Sister's Keeper

For book lovers, you surely have heard of this novel: My Sister's Keeper a 2004 novel written by Jodi Picoult. At 2 years back, I happened to be flipping through the pages once . And it bored me with those attorney thingy.

That's sad. For me of course.

So, I can't tell you much about the book, but the movie - it's superbly great!
I can almost relate to the movie, minus the leukemia part. The film tells the story of a family's struggle to cope with a serious disease(leukemia) of one of its members while presenting viewpoints from each family member.

This 13-year-old Anna, who sues her parents for medical emancipation when she is expected to donate a kidney to her sister Kate, who is dying from leukemia.

Oh, did I mention the mother IS Cameron Diaz? No. Ok, she's (finally) taking up the role of a mother, and it's excellent. It suits her just fine.

Tale No.1:

It's 10p.m. Sunday night. Se7en days more before Chinese New Year. Just wrote 10+3 new year cards to the gals. Thinking MunSTeR can send them immediately. But soon, MunSTeR discovered that one thing is missing. The vital one if MunSTeR wants all these cards to be sent in time.

Guess what it is?

Yep, the stamp. wtf MunSTeR, you MISS the STAMP!?

So MunSTeR went to the post office to get some but ... it's closed. As expected. On a-Sunday. MunSTeR was expecting this you see but still....hmmph!

Thus, this mission is postponed. To Monday.

Good job MunSTeR. Next time, be ready. And yes this is sarcasm.

Okay, next tale.

Tale No.2:

At the same day. I was updating with my friend's blog and I was shocked to see this on one of her post:

'kay, maybe she's not referring to MunSTeR. But MunSTeR just can't help but wonder... was she talking about MunSTeR? Did MunSTeR hurt her feeling? But but but the truth is: MunSTeR don't really recall having a conversation with her on that day. Nor any piercing words which may hurt her feeling. But after all, MunSTeR have the right to think of the worse. Does she? Uh-huh, MunSTeR's a pessimist. So here goes Tale No. 2. Hope everything is...well...over-reacted.

Tale No.3:

This tale starts with a Tuesday night. 2nd of February. MunSTeR was sitting in front of the computer reading internet novels you see. Then suddenly, everything went black. Literally.

Fine. As long as it's not a-everyday-thing. But... every time MunSTeR thinks of the worse, the worse comes. Oh God, why are you doing this to innocent MunSTeR? The electricity was out for 3 days in a row, and it picked just the 'right' time: 11p.m. till 12 or 1 a.m.

Darkness.
Beads and beads of sweat.
Soaked pajamas.
Complaints.

How's MunSTeR supposed to sleep in such condition!!! MunSTeR couldn't sleep at all. MunSTeR was forced to stay awake during the long hot hours to wait for daylight....Okay, not that serious, but it's more or less as unbearable as waiting for daylight. To fill those 'free' hours, MunSTeR played with her psp and she actually got to finish a couple of Monster Hunter's mission and also watched a few movies that's been in her psp for about a month. Ha~ At least there's some good news.

Oh, did MunSTeR mentioned that this blackout is the 5th in this month(only, not counting the previous months')? And it's only the beginning of the February. No wonder MunSTeR is getting more and more shadow under her beautiful eyes these days.

THREE words:

And guess what, the electricity was out for TWO TIMES when MunSTeR was writing about this black tale. One on the 7th at 11p.m. sharp, the other on the 8th at 9.3op.m. That's why the draft for this post keeps accumulating. Think it's cursed......

Just kidding:)

Phew~ What a week! End of butt tales.

"I just keep thinking back to when you're in second grade and you sing in the talent show for the first time and people joke around and say, 'Maybe we'll see you at the Grammys some day.' But that just seems like an impossible dream," "I just feel like I'm standing here accepting an impossible dream."

"When we're 80 years old and we're telling the same stories over and over to our grand kids and they're so annoyed with us, this is the story we're going to be telling over and over again," "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Look, I've a confession here.
The thing that I'm very ashamed of is...
My SPM books, notes and stuff are still untouched.
There, I've said it.

Untouched meaning they're still around. Meaning I haven't clear them away. Yet.
Can anybody pleeeeeze help me? The state of my table is hooorrible. Heaps and heaps of books are stacked into mountains. I'm hardly able to use my table and that's why I can't finish my homework nowadays.
Don't believe me? See for yourself.

For those who doesn't know who Katherine McPhee is:

Ever heard of the hit single "Over It"? That's her song. My favorite song. Still is.

She's the 5th season American Idol's runner-up. Does it ring a bell now?

Well, she finally released her sophomore album: Unbroken.
Reader: We know that already!!

Yeah, MunSTeR is a little bit slow. It was released on January 5, 2010.
I'm so eager to share this album with you guys you know. I've been waiting for this album to be out for nearly a year. It debuted at #27 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, selling 15,000 copies its first week.

Congrat's Kat.

Bad news: It's not yet available in Malaysia. I think this album is good. I'll give 2 out of 5 if you ask me. Who cares? Well, not all of the songs are great, but most of them are. Especially 'Had It All'.

Check out this video.

Big transformation right? I was also trying to take in the fact that she's now a blonde. A blonde!
I love her previous hair more. She's a brunette then. Not that she's ugly this way. She looks good as a blonde with her funky hairstyle. But I still prefer her previous one. It's no biggy by the way.
